Pathways to Vibrant Faith &
Active Engagement

Picture
Churches can offer formational processes for the “spiritual but not religious” (Scenario 2) and “the uncommitted but participating” (Scenario 4) who desire to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ, engagement in church life, and practice of the Christian faith. One option is offering a multi-step formation process consisting of a series of courses, small group programs, or retreat experiences that gradually deepen people’s faith and engagement in the church community. A second option is offer a yearlong process, modeled on the baptismal catechumenate.
